Pirates & Corsairs NPC Pack for NWN2

Pirates and Corsairs36 NPC blueprints and 6 item blueprints contained in an .erf file which can be imported into any module.

All NPCs in this pack are fully customized regarding armor, appearance, height/weight, skin tone, equipment, feats, voice sets, and local description. They are named p.e Pirate{Female Human Pirate 01}- the text in {} is only seen in the TS for quick reference, ingame this NPC would simply be labelled as ‘Pirate’. Alignment is set to about 75% evil/ 75% chaotic for pirates and 75% evil/ 75% lawful for Corsairs. The faction however is set to defender by default to make it easier viewing the NPCs in a mod before actually using them

All Pirates are Rogue Swashbucklers by default. Weapon focus/specialisation has been added/swapped to the equipped weapons and two-weapon fighting added where needed . The armor is (as always) directly applied in the armor set tab and calculated as natural AC. The CRs are in most cases slightly reduced due to lack of AC. The Pirate Queen is armed with a custom magic weapon (Katana, Att +1, AC +1,CHA +1). All Pirates (including Ship’s Carpenter and Ship’s Cook) are level 3 except for: First Mate and Steersman (4), Pirate Captain and Pirate Queen (5).

The Corsairs are inspired by Guild Wars Nightfall and turned out to get a kind of middle/far east look. They are humans statwise but I used appearances from several races. Opposed to Pirates, Corsairs are strictly organized as a military naval force. They are equipped for land battle rather than for entering ships and use their own ships basically as transports and bases of operation.

The Corsair NPCs have the following stats (AC only takes armor/shields into account, not any modifications based on dex/skills/etc.):
Blackbow — level 2 Ranger (Marksman), AC 1, Shortbow (+2 Might), Kukri
Firethrower — level 3 Ranger (Marksman), AC 1, Shortbow (+2 Might, Fire Arrows), Kukri
Runner — level 3 Fighter (default), AC 3 (+Shield AC 1), Katana
Shieldbearer — level 3 Fighter (Defendert), AC 2 (+Shield AC 3), Katana, Shortbow
Dervish — level 3 Barbarian (Frenzied Berserker), AC 2, two weapons (mixture of Kukri/Kama)
Battlepriest — level 4 Cleric (Battle Priest), AC 2, Kukri
Attendant — level 4 Fighter (default), AC 4, Katana
Infiltrator – level 5 Monk (default), AC 0, Armed with shuriken and bracers that have built-in blades (check the pic). I didn’t use one of the existing monk gloves because they messed up the appearance I wanted so I gave him 16 STR instead to reflect an actual weapon.
Captian — level 5 Figher (default), AC 6, Katana + Kukri

Weapon focus/specialisation has been added/swapped to the appropriate equipped weapons and two-weapon fighting added where needed. The armor is (as always) directly applied in the armor set tab and calculated as natural AC. Adjustment to the CRs have been made based on equipment.

Norse NPC Pack for NWN2

StorytellersNorse5This pack includes 21 Norse NPCs ranging from commoners over warriors to king and  princess.

The NPCs range from LvL 1-7, all NPCs have barbarian levels with some additional levels as fighter, druid or rogue.

The status of a Norse reflects partially in his hairstyle as commoners and young Norse are not allowed to display long hair. Hair is usually not worn open, which is a privilege of the nobility, but as a ponytail or a braid by both genders. Especially those trained to become warriors display longer braids according to their level of training and experience. The youngest fighters are trained as scouts and are known to have a messy hairstyle which allows them to be distinguished from commoners although they are years away from displaying their first pony or braid.

Creature BPs open up in this folder: Creatures/Humanoid/Norse. The NPCs are equipped with regular weapons as shown in the pictures (included in the download), commoners and nobles are equipped with daggers.

There is no actual armor in any slot, the AC according to the appearance has been set in the “natural armor” tab. All BPs include the necessary proficiencies and feats for the equipped weapons/shields and have been tested.

Ringwraith Creature Pack for NWN2

RingwraithsThis pack includes 10 Ringwraiths (=RWs) and 5 Wraithblade magical weapons in an .erf file that can be imported into any module.

Each Ringwraith comes as a *solid* version and an *etheral* version. Apart from different fx_ effects they are identically equipped but have different stats. They are actually equipped with larger cloaks that can be seen in the pictures.

All Ringwraiths are set to undead lvl 3 for solid and undead lvl 4 for their ethereal version with the Wraithking being lvl 5/6. Solid RWs have all weapon and armor skills plus toughness, darkvision, improved initiative and undead skin/hide properties. Etheral RWs have alertness and blind-fight in addition and wraith skin/hide properties. RWs AC ranges from 2-6 for solid RWs and 4-8 for etheral RWs. CRs range goes from 1.80 from a solid Ringwraith to 6.00 for the Etheral Wraithking but might need some additional tweaking.

All RWs are equiped with “Wraithblades” (black tinted but without a visual cold effect) which are restricted to evil and have additional cold damage:

Hobbit NPC Pack for NWN2

HobbitNPCsThese are Hobbit NPCs based on Dwarfs, Duregar and Golden Dwarfs. They are all level 1 of their appropriate class like Commoner, Fighter, Rogue, etc.

The Hobbits are scaled down unevenly so they become less broad & bulky than Dwarfs but a lot sturdier than the original *Halflings*. I tried to include every face not TOO ugly to look hobbitish and covered the resulting lack in variety with lots of helmets and hats (which Hobbits are quite fond of luckily!). I would have included more females, but most armors -especially robes- make their basic Dwarf BPs look quite ugly. Some skins, hair and armor where slightly different tinted than in the original pictures.

There is no actual armor in any slot, the AC according to the appearance has been set in the “natural armor” tab. All BPs include the necessary proficiencies and feats for the equipped weapons/shields and have been tested.

Creature BPs open up in this folder: Creatures/Humanoid/Hobbits and according to naming conventions start with c_
Custom shields open up in this folder: Armor/Shields/custom Light Shields.
Custom weapons have been added representing plain, simple, non-evil non-warlike weapons. They open up in this folder: Weapons/Plain Weapons.

Those wearing shields are also equipped with weapons, all others carry them in their inventory (including either bow or sling) – Hobbits are a peaceful bunch after all ;o)

Wasteland Intro Script for FPS Creator

This script is a blueprint for a bare-bone intro for a Wasteland game setting. It uses a black stock backdrop and stock sounds. It works as follows:
– the script starts after the player starts a new game
– several rows of text are displayed while some sound or music is continuously playing
– the player can speed up the script in pressing

The download includes the script, license, a demo game and an FPS Creator map in .fpm format made with stock media so everyone can use it as a starting point for his own Wasteland themed game.

This script has been written for FPS Creator version 1.20. It will possibly not work correctly with other versions.

ZombieCity Intro Script for FPS Creator

This script is a blueprint for a bare-bone intro for an urban zombie game setting. It uses a black stock backdrop and stock sounds. It works as follows:
– the script starts after the player starts a new game
– several rows of text are displayed while some sound or music is continuously playing
– the player can speed up the script in pressing

The download includes the script, license, a demo game and an FPS Creator map in .fpm format made with stock media so everyone can use it as a starting point for his own zombie themed game.

This script has been written for FPS Creator version 1.20. It will possibly not work correctly with other versions.

Basic Conversation Script for FPS Creator

Conversation02This script is set up for a conversation between the player and an NPC and works as follows:

– when the player gets into range of the NPC, the conversation starts
– during the conversation the player cannot move.
– it is self-running until the player has at one point to decide how to answer (=which key to press)
– the player can speed up the conversation in pressing <enter>
– player and NPC lines differ through colour and position
– the player gets a choice somewhere to keep talking, go his way, or fight
– at the end the NPC goes along waypoints to a door and vanishes
– the player can attack the NPC prior to the conversation, when he is offered the choice in between and after the conversation when the NPC walks away (the script then uses RUNFPI=).

The player text is at dark blue and in the lower half of the screen, the NPC text is light blue and in the upper half of the screen,  but color and position can be altered in the script.

This script can be attached to a commanding officer, an ally, a help seeker, a computer terminal, an intercom or anything else the player could have a conversation with.

The download includes the script, license, setup guide and a small demo game to try it out.

This script has been written for FPS Creator version 1.18. It will possibly not work correctly with other versions.

Code Input Script for FPS Creator

This script is a variant of the stock FPSC “doorremote” script but instead of simply using a switch or lever, to open the door the player has to “type” the right 4-digit code. 

The script needs no HUDS, the text display is generated using FPCGRAWTEXT commands. If the player enters a wrong number, an alarm sound (from the stock FPSC library) is played continously until the player finally enters the correct code. This script can easily be altered to spawn enemies in addition or instead of playing the alarm sound.

The download includes the script, license and a small demo game to try it out.

This script has been written for FPS Creator version 1.18. It will possibly not work correctly with other versions.

Rural Battleback Pack for RPG Maker VX Ace

Rural PackThis is a collection of 20 rural battlebacks made with the RPK Maker VX Ace stock tileset. They are for  RPG Maker VX Ace projects that use the regular ingame charcacters as battlers and need the battlebacks to match the tileset style.

Battlebacks for RP Maker VX Ace come in two parts, one for the floor (in the Battlebacks1 folder) and one for the background (in the Battlebacks2 folder). This pack features 10 different battlebacks each for the floor and the background using the basic grass texture and including lakes, streams, woods, cliffs, fields and farms. All floors and backgrounds are fully compatible so there are a 100 different combinations.

All credit for the artwork goes to Enterbrain. Feel free to use them for your RPG Maker projects but please don’t redistribute this content without proper crediting.

I’m not be going to do Battlebacks for RPG Maker XP for a while so it was time to put them all into a single archive and upload them. The whole pack includes 63 battlebacks for interior and exterior maps all made with the standard RTP tilesets.

All credit for the artwork goes to Enterbrain. Feel free to use them for your RPG Maker projects but please don’t redistribute the content without proper crediting.
